TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
EASTERN KENTUCKY
FAR WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA
SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL OHIO
EASTERN TENNESSEE
FAR WESTERN VIRGINIA
WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA
EFFECTIVE THIS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 310 PM UNTIL
1100 PM EDT.
TORNADOES...HAIL TO 2.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND
GUSTS TO 80 MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS.
REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR
TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS

...AN OUTBREAK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF
TORNADOES AND FLASH FLOODING IS ON TRACK FOR THIS EVENING
AND OVERNIGHT...
A HIGH RISK AREA HAS BEEN EXTENDED NORTHWARD THROUGH MIDDLE
TENNESSEE INCLUDING THE SOUTHERN CUMBERLAND PLATEAU. A MODERATE
RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER CONTINUES ACROSS MUCH OF THE TENNESSEE RIVER
VALLEY AND SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
SUPERCELL STORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING EXTREMELY LARGE HAIL AND SOME
TORNADOES...WILL LIKELY DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THESE
SUPERCELLS HAVE BEGUN TO DEVELOP OVER WESTERN AND MIDDLE TENNESSEE
THIS AFTERNOON...AND WILL PROPAGATE TO THE EAST INTO THE
EVENING HOURS.
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL GRADUALLY EVOLVE FROM A TORNADO AND
LARGE HAIL THREAT INTO A POTENTIAL FLOODING EVENT TONIGHT. THE
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BEGIN TO CONCENTRATE AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD
FRONT. YOUR AREA COULD BE AFFECTED BY MORE THAN ONE ROUND OF
STORMS...LEADING TO THIS POTENTIALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. WIDESPREAD TOTAL
RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES ARE ANTICIPATED BY SATURDAY
MORNING...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

On the radio @ 95.9, I heard them say Tornado Warning for Lee County. The warning may already be over with by now, because I think it was something like 7:45 or around there, but all I can say is be careful guys!
It could definitely get ugly tonight.

Yeah, it's over for Lee now. The storm went south of where I live in Lee, so we didn't see much of anything, but from what I understand it was pretty bad in southern sections of the county. The storm is now in Washington County, but it looks like it weakend a lot. It did carry a tornado warning trhough Scott and Russell also.
Anyway, there are more storms and rain moving in from the south, and looks to be turning into more of a heavy rain and possibly that flash flooding threat now, but the severe storm threat still exists too.

At about 7 last night before the rain actually started we waatched a tornado try to form in my yard. Wind wasn't strong enough so it didn't form but we watched the swirl.

It didn't swirl much. Wind wasn't strong enough but it looked kinda cool. Wasn't a big deal.

Got a frickin ton of hail at my house Friday. Marble sized, but it made the ground look like it had come a dusting of snow. A fellow I know in Manville measured some hail up there at an inch and a quarter in diameter (golf ball size). It dented his vehicles up a little, but luckily it did not do that to mine.
